Treatments and the Register

Record a treatment as you inspect, see every treatment and its no-harvest date in the treatment log, and print or export the register.

What You'll Learn

  • Recording a treatment during an inspection, by tap or by voice
  • Varroa: what the app tells you, and where the count goes
  • The treatment log on the web app
  • Printing and exporting the register
1

Record a treatment during an inspection

There is no separate form: a treatment is one answer in the inspection. One you mention in a voice inspection is recorded the same way. Either way it appears in the treatment log on the web app by itself.

Select a step to see where to tap

Tap the + button, choose “Quick Log” and pick the hive
When you did not treat, skip it: every row on that screen is optional.
2

Varroa

Varroa has two places in the app.

  • In an inspection, mark “Varroa mites” among the problems (screen “Any Problems?”). After saving, the app reminds you: “Varroa spotted — consider treatment soon.”
  • The number of mites you counted is a field of the treatment: add it in the treatment log on the web app, in “Varroa count”
Counting before and after a treatment shows you whether it worked.

The treatment log on the web app

  1. Open “Treatment log” in the sidebar of the web app
  2. Each row shows the date, hive, product, method, dose and varroa count. While the waiting period runs it also says “No harvest until …”; afterwards “Withdrawal ended”
  3. To add one by hand, click “Add treatment”: pick the hive, write the product, choose the method, then fill the dose, the “No-harvest (weeks)”, the varroa count and notes, and click “Save”
  4. Edit or delete a row from its actions. Deleting a treatment removes it from the log only; the inspection it came from stays
Treatments recorded on the phone show up here without any work from you.

Print and export the register

The page has three buttons: “Print”, “Export treatments as CSV” and “Register PDF”. The PDF is a register ready to print: number, date, apiary, hive, product, method, dose, varroa count and the date until which you must not harvest, with a line for your signature and the date.

Export (CSV and PDF) is a Pro feature: on the “Start” plan the buttons carry the Pro badge.
