Do I need hardware to use BeePulse?
- No. BeePulse is a complete beekeeping platform on its own — apiaries, hives, inspections, weather, follow-ups and the mobile app all work without any device. Smart scales are an optional upgrade that adds live weight and temperature data to the same account.
What is free, and what is in Pro?
- The Start plan is free forever and includes up to 3 apiaries and 20 hives, the inspection logbook, weather forecasts and the mobile app. Pro costs €60/year + VAT, removes those limits and adds photo attachments, treatment and harvest tracking, CSV export, unlimited alert rules and longer history.
What happens after the 15 free days of Pro?
- Every new account starts with 15 days of Pro. After that you keep the Start plan free forever, or continue with Pro for €60/year + VAT. No card is required to sign up.
Can I cancel Pro at any time?
- Yes. Pro can be cancelled at any time, and the free Start plan stays available.
Does it work offline in the apiary?
- Yes. The mobile app has full offline support, so you can log inspections, use Quick-Log and scan hive QR codes without a signal; your data syncs when you are back online.
Which devices does it run on?
- BeePulse runs in the browser and as a mobile app you install from your phone’s browser, on Android and iOS. Everything is synchronised across devices under one account.
Can I add a smart scale later, and how does it connect?
- Yes. Scales are optional and can be added at any time. Once a scale is linked to a hive in your account, its weight, temperature and humidity readings appear in the same app, next to your inspections and weather.
Which features need a smart scale?
- The live dashboard, Daily Pulse, sensor chart history and weight alerts need a connected scale. Everything else — hive records, inspections, weather, follow-ups and the mobile app — works without hardware. These rows are marked “With scale” in the comparison table.
Can I export my data?
- Yes. Pro includes CSV export, and charts can be exported as images (PNG) to share reports and keep records.
How long is my data kept?
- The Start plan keeps data for 1 year and Pro for 5 years. Historical charts cover the last 30 days on Start and are unlimited on Pro.
Is BeePulse available in my language?
- Yes. The platform is available in English, Romanian, German, Spanish, Italian, French and Greek.
How is Stupio related to BeePulse?
- It is the same beekeeping platform under two names: Stupio in Romania and BeePulse in the rest of the world.
Do I get an invoice?
- Yes. Every purchase comes with an invoice.
What happens to my data if I cancel Pro?
- Your data is kept. You return to the free Start plan, where its limits apply: up to 3 apiaries and 20 hives, and 1 year of history.
Is hardware a one-off purchase?
- Yes. Smart scales are a one-off purchase with no extra subscription, and they work with the free Start plan.
What are the warranty and return terms?
- Hardware has a 2-year warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Returned items must be in their original condition.
Where do you ship?
- We ship hardware worldwide.
Can I connect scales or sensors from other brands?
- No. The platform works with our own scales and sensors — BeePulse and Stupio hardware — and not with other brands.
Where is my data stored, and is it secure?
- Your data is stored in the EU and encrypted, and it is handled in line with GDPR. You can export or delete your data.
