This intelligent hive scale features a built-in GSM module that enables daily transmission of hive evolution data directly to one or more mobile phones, according to the beekeeper's chosen settings. The device operates using a regular data SIM card, without other monthly fees or subscriptions. The beekeeper can use a simple, prepaid card recharged only during the beekeeping season.

The scale is extremely practical for beekeepers who cannot visit their apiary daily. It provides updated information about hive status — when a new nectar flow begins, when it ends as well as daily honey production evolution.

For migratory beekeeping, the device becomes a valuable aid: a single scale placed in an area of interest (for example, near linden trees) can signal the actual beginning of nectar flow, helping the beekeeper decide the optimal timing for moving the apiary.

Security and Extensibility with Additional Sensors

The scale can be equipped with contact sensors for apiary protection. If the hive is moved or lifted from the scale, the system immediately sends an alarm signal to the beekeeper. The sensor can also be mounted on the pavilion door, providing additional protection against break-in attempts — any unauthorized opening is reported instantly.

Beyond security sensors, the device can be complemented with various optional accessories:

Operating Modes

The most advanced operating mode that combines all advantages through connection to the BeePulse web platform. The device automatically transmits data to our servers, where it's processed and displayed in an intuitive web interface accessible from any device (computer, tablet, phone).

The platform sends SMS commands to the scale only when necessary (configurations, urgent data requests), optimizing battery consumption. Data is automatically transmitted to the server via GSM connection, eliminating the need for manual intervention.

Mode 2 – On-Demand Command:

The scale remains active and can perform instant weighing upon receiving a text message. The result is sent immediately to the beekeeper. This mode offers quick data access but consumes more energy, which is why it's recommended only when the scale is connected to an external power source (solar panel, car battery, power outlet).

The transmitted basic data include: the scale name, net weight (accumulated honey), gross weight, external temperature, and battery level.
